The County Council asks residents, businesses, and organizations to join them in celebration of Talbot Day on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 5 p.m. for an official ceremony and birthday celebration on the Talbot County Courthouse Lawn, weather permitting.

    Date: April 25, 2024

    Time: 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Location: Talbot County Courthouse, 11 N. Washington Street, Suite 13, Easton, MD 21601. Rain location is the Avalon Theatre.

Overview: In 2023, the Council proclaimed April 25th as the County’s official birthday with hopes of reinvigorating community-based celebration on or about that day each year. On April 25, 2024, the Council will gather to commemorate our home, Talbot County, celebrating our residents, organizations, and history – and everything Talbot County has to offer.

Specifically, the ceremony will honor the Talbot Citizen and Service Awards Nominees and the Talbot Day Poster Contest Winners. During the ceremony, the Council will also announce the “Citizen of the Year”, which is inspired by the previous “Maryland You are Beautiful” Award Program. Entertainment will be provided by Allegro Academy, Building African American Minds, and the Easton High School Jazz Band.

No RSVP required. Light refreshments and birthday cake will be served following the ceremony.
