Public Meeting for the Purposes of reviewing and discussing possible modifications to County Council Resolution No. 139, entitled Rules and Procedure Governing Proceedings of the Talbot County Board of Appeals and Chapter 20, of the Talbot County Code.

The Talbot County Council meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month beginning at 6:00 p.m.  All meetings are held in the Bradley Meeting Room, Talbot County Courthouse, South Wing, 11 North Washington Street, Easton unless otherwise noted.

The Talbot County Short Term Rental Review Board will hold a Work Session with staff on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Wye Oak Room of the Talbot County Community Center, 10028 Ocean Gateway, Easton, Maryland to consider potential revisions and updates to the Short Term Rental Review Board’s Rules of Procedure and potential amendments to the Board’s enabling legislation, Chapter 190-63 of the Talbot County Code.  These revisions and updates are being considered in order to improve the functioning of the Board, to improve the notice provisions for new and renewal applications to other homeowners, and to clean up inconsistencies between Sec. 190-33.20 and 190-63, et. seq. 

The Work Session is open to the public and citizens are encouraged to attend.  Public comment shall be at the discretion of the Board, and, if taken, may be limited by the Board in order to fit the time allotted for the Work Session and to minimize redundant comments. 

Written comments should be submitted to the attention of the Short Term Rental Review Board, c/o Talbot County Department of Planning and Zoning, 215 Bay Street, Suite #2, Easton, Maryland 21601 by the close of business on Tuesday, August 20, 2019.
