Chuck Callahan

CHUCK CALLLAHAN is serving his third term on the Chuck CallahanTalbot County Council and currently serves as President. Mr. Callahan was born in Talbot County in 1966 and is a member of a family whose Talbot County roots go back several generations.   Chuck has lived in Talbot County all of his life and graduated from Easton High School in 1985, along the way winning the Maryland State Gymnastics Championships in 1978 and 1980.  After graduation Chuck went to work for West and Callahan, a custom home and home remodeling company, which his father Charlie and his partner “Pee Wee” West started in 1971.  Since that time, Charlie’s partner has retired and Chuck has taken over the operation of the company.  Chuck has also started two other companies in the last few years – Eastern Millwork, specializing in custom cabinetry, windows and doors and Energy Savers, a home energy audit company.  He has two sons, Cole and Chuck, both of whom attended Talbot County Public Schools. Chuck believes strongly in community service.  He is a life member of the Easton Volunteer Fire Department, with more than 25 years of service, and is a member of Easton Elks Lodge #1622.  He was a youth ice hockey coach for many years and during his tenure as head coach for the Easton Ice Hawks they won the 2011 Capital Beltway Hockey League Pee Wee Lower A Division Championships.   Mr. Callahan serves as the Council's liaison to the Board of Education, Economic Development Commission, Mental Health Workgroup, Mid-Shore Regional Council, Neighborhood Service Center Board of Directors and Talbot Family Network Board of Directors.
