Emergency Management
The Emergency Management Agency houses the 9-1-1 Center but also is responsible to plan for and be ready to respond to any number of natural and man-made disasters. A copy of the Talbot County Emergency Management Operations Plan is available for your review at the library located in Easton and also at the branch office in St. Michaels.
Hazardous Materials
This agency is also responsible for the hazardous materials planning and response. We maintain Site Plans and Tier II information on all reporting facilities located in Talbot County.
County Employee Safety Program
The Director of the Talbot County Emergency Management Agency is active in the Employee Safety program County employees, serving as chairman. We provide instructions to County personnel on Employee Right-To-Know and maintain records on all hazardous substances in which employees come into contact as a result of their responsibilities.
