Talbot County and Hog Neck Golf Course are very pleased to announce that Richard “Rich” Setter has joined the Hog Neck team as Head Golf Professional/General Manager.  Mr. Setter holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Hotel & Tourism Management from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a degree in Business Administration from Oswego State College, and has been a PGA member for 20+ years.  He comes to Hog Neck from Irondequoit Country Club in Rochester, New York where he served as General Manager/COO.  Mr. Setter brings a wealth of golf knowledge and experience to Hog Neck, having served as Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and Director of Golf at various facilities throughout Vermont, New York and Maryland.  In addition, he also has a strong teaching background, having taught at the renowned Stratton Golf School in Stratton Mountain, Vermont and the Stratton Scottsdale Golf School in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Mr. Setter and his family have lived here in Easton for the past 13 years so he not only knows the local market well, but is already familiar with many of the locals who participate in the Hog Neck leagues.

Chuck Callahan, Talbot County Council liaison to the Golf Course states, “We are delighted to have Rich Setter join the quality team at Hog Neck Golf Course.  The County is fortunate to have found someone with such strong qualifications.  The fact that Rich is local makes his hiring all the better.”  Superintendent of Hog Neck Golf Course, Owen Sutherland, stated that Hog Neck is gearing up for a great golf season, and encourages everyone to come play some golf, see all the improvements made to the golf course for 2018, and meet Rich along the way.
