Talbot County and Town of Easton to Hold Commemorative Ceremony in Remembrance of 9/11/01

Talbot County and the Town of Easton will hold a Commemorative Ceremony in remembrance of 9/11/01 on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 beginning at 8:30 a.m.  The Ceremony will be held at the corner of West Street/Dover Street in Easton (rain location Talbot County Free Library - Easton branch).  Representatives of law enforcement, fire departments, emergency services, local clergy and the community at large will take part in the program.  Music will be provided by the Easton Middle School Advanced Band and the Easton High School Band.  There will be a moment of silence and tolling of bells to mark the moment the Tower One fell, as well as an acknowledgement of those who lost their lives and those who placed their lives in peril for the service of others that day.  The public is encouraged to attend.  Should you have any questions, please contact the Talbot County Manager's Office at 410-770-8010.

Talbot County Council members Frank Divilio and Pete Lesher recently shared their memories of 9/11/01.
