Visitation Hours

Professional Visitation Hours:
9:00 AM to 7:30 PM daily, (Monday – Friday)
Saturday by appointment only. 

ALL VISITORS ENTERING THE SECURE PORTION OF THE FACILITY, OR WHO WILL BE HAVING A "CONTACT VISIT", ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH.  REFUSAL TO BE SEARCHED SHALL RESULT IN THE VISIT BEING CANCELLED.

Attorneys:
Legal Bar Card and Photo Identification required.

Other Professionals:
Professional Identification and Photo Identification required.

Inmate Visitation (Family & Friends):  

Each inmate is authorized a single half hour visit each week during their scheduled visitation time.  Scheduled visitation time is dependant on the housing unit to where they are assigned.  Visitors traveling 55 miles or more to attend a visit will be granted an hour of visitation time.  Family emergencies (special visits) will be given immediate consideration upon request.  All adult visitors must produce some form of government-issued photo identification prior to the visit.


** Please Note: Delays can be expected at certain times during visiting hours (between 12:00 p.m. and 12:45 p.m.- Noon lunch meal; 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.- end of shift count; 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.- beginning of shift count; and 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.- evening meal).  If in doubt, it is suggested you call.

A maximum of two (2) adults may visit at once.  A maximum of three (3) children may accompany the adults during each visit.  

Visitation is scheduled according to housing unit. Inmates are routinely transferred from one housing unit to another. All inmates have been advised that it is their responsibility to notify family and friends of any changes to their visiting schedule. Please call the Detention Center at 410-770-8120 for visitation information.  Staff shortages as the result of an emergency may result in cancellation of visitation.

Visitors are required to adhere to an acceptable dress code.  Shoes and shirts are required; no bathing suits or halter tops are permitted. Visits will not be authorized if the visitor is not properly attired, or if the visitor appears to be under the influence of alcohol or some other intoxicant.  Visitors observed acting in an unacceptable and/or disruptive manner shall have their visit terminated and shall be directed to leave.  Refusal to leave when so directed may subject the visitor to arrest.
