Talbot County Department of Corrections Engages with Community to Support St. Mark’s Village Residents

The Talbot County Department of Corrections is extending its mission beyond the walls of the detention center by supporting local residents in need. This Thanksgiving season, staff members adopted two families from St. Mark’s Village, a senior and handicap housing development located at 212 Bay Street just behind the detention center. Read more

Council Attends Groundbreaking for St Vincent de Paul Expansion

SVDP was awarded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, which is processed by Talbot County Government locally. In addition, the Talbot County Council was able to allocate $100,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to support the project. Read more
