Talbot County Police Accountability Board Releases 2025 Annual Report

The Talbot County Police Accountability Board (PAB) has released its 2025 Annual Report, outlining the Board’s activities, findings, and oversight efforts. The PAB and the Administrative Charging Committee (ACC) were established in accordance with Maryland law as part of a statewide requirement for independent police accountability and oversight. The report was formally submitted to the Talbot County Council and is now available to the public.

The Talbot250 Commission invites the public to the Avalon Theatre for The American Revolution: The Spirit of Service, a special program celebrating the start of Talbot County’s 365th anniversary and the nation’s Semiquincentennial year. The event will take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., and will feature a 31-minute screening and a live panel discussion exploring what it means to serve: 250 fifty years ago and now.

The Talbot County Council met on November 25, 2025, to recognize outstanding public service, issue key proclamations, and advance several important County initiatives. Highlights included honors for 9-1-1 Specialist Hannah Ward, proclamations on Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Month and the Festival of Trees, action on Resolution 235, and public hearings on Bills 1621 and 1622. The Council also approved multiple departmental requests and appointments during the County Manager’s Report.

Talbot County, in partnership with the Town of Easton and the Mid-Shore Regional Council, has completed a multi-phase project to widen and strengthen Goldsborough Neck Road, enhancing safety, improving access, and supporting future economic growth tied to the Mistletoe Hall Commerce-Business Park and Talbot Commerce Park.
