TALBOT COUNTY MD—The County Council encourages citizens to join them in celebration of Talbot County’s birthday on April 25th. Officially designated as “Talbot Day”, April 25, 2023 will mark the birthday of the County.  

In their April 11, 2023 meeting, the County Council approved a Proclamation to designate the special day. “It is important to recognize and honor the history of our county,” said Council Member Dave Stepp. “I was honored to be able to present the Proclamation to the Council for their unanimous approval.”  

Stepp hopes that Talbot Day will become a tradition for the county. “As we celebrate all of God’s blessings this day, we also look forward to working with citizens and groups to develop ways to celebrate this milestone in future years.”
