May 4th Rabies Clinic a Success Despite Rain

The Talbot County Health Department held its low-cost rabies vaccination clinic for pets on Saturday, May 4th at the Environmental Health building. In total, 46 dogs and 36 cats received the rabies vaccine at the drive-thru clinic. Read more

On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Talbot County Sanitary District (Sanitary District) was notified by a County Inspector that the ditch adjacent to the intersection of St. Michaels Road (MD Rt. 33) and Royal Oak Road (MD Rt. 329) was damp despite there no rain for several days. There was no other evidence of a sewer leak. Read more

Health Department Hosting Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic

Talbot County pet owners are invited to take advantage of a low-cost rabies vaccination clinic for dogs, cats and ferrets on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (with a rain date of May 11th). The clinic will be held at the rear side of the Talbot County Environmental Health building at 215 Bay Street in Easton. Read more

Sewage Discharge at Royal Oak Pump Station - Intersection of St. Michaels Road (MD 33) and Royal Oak Road (MD 329)

On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m., the Talbot County Sanitary District (Sanitary District) was alerted to high wastewater levels at the Royal Oak Pump Station. When staff responded, they determined the pump had failed and attempted to restart the pump. Read more

The spill resulted from K & T Utilities, LLC accidently boring into a force main along Unionville Road. Read more

Emergency Services Joins Apprenticeship Program with TCPS

On July 26, 2023 Talbot County Department of Emergency Services sat down with Talbot County Public Schools’ student, Geovanni “Geo” Greaves, to sign paperwork to make him the very first county-employed apprentice in the Talbot County Youth Apprenticeship program through TCPS and the Maryland Department of Labor.
