Talbot County will hold its annual September 11 Remembrance Ceremony on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. at the corner of Dover and West Streets, across from the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library. The event honors the lives lost in the 2001 tragedy and pays tribute to first responders and community members who responded and those who continue to serve.
The program will include remarks from local leaders, patriotic music, a presentation of the flags, and a moment of silence with the tolling of the bells. A wreath will be laid in remembrance of the lives lost, followed by a benediction.
“This ceremony is not only a time to remember those we lost, but also to honor the bravery of first responders and all who continue to protect and serve our community,” said Talbot County Council President Chuck Callahan.
The ceremony is free and open to the public. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Meeting Room of the Talbot County Free Library.
