Last Friday, members of the Board of Education, Superintendent Dr. Sharon Pepukayi, administrators, teachers, County Council members and County officials, as well as students gathered to celebrate the official groundbreaking of the Chapel District Elementary School renovation project.

As part of the project, there will be a full renovation of the existing building and around 16,000 square feet of additions. This will include new childcare space for Critchlow Adkins Children's Centers.

The County has allocated $27.8M in funding to Talbot County Public Schools for the renovations and provided additional funding to Critchlow Adkins.
