Talbot County Announces Inaugural Community Repair and Reinvestment Fund Funding Round
01/29/2026
Category: Talbot Family Network
Talbot County has opened the inaugural round of funding through its Community Repair and Reinvestment Fund (CRRF), a state-established program created as part of Maryland's Cannabis Reform Act of 2023. The CRRF is intended to reinvest cannabis tax revenue into disproportionately impacted and low-income communities and to support long-term community well-being and opportunity. The program is overseen at the state level by Maryland’s Office of Social Equity.
Talbot County established its local CRRF through County legislation, Bill No. 1620, and designated Talbot Family Network, its Local Management Board, to administer the Fund on behalf of the Talbot County Community Reinvestment and Repair Commission.
This inaugural funding round offers two application pathways designed to support both smaller, targeted community projects and larger, more comprehensive community impact initiatives. Eligible nonprofit and for-profit organizations proposing work that benefits Talbot County residents and whose work may align with the purpose of the Fund are encouraged to apply. The Notice of Funding Opportunity, application, and budget form are available on the County’s CRRF webpage.
A virtual pre-application meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 10 a.m. Any interested parties are encouraged to attend. Applications must be submitted by March 27, 2026.
