National Weather Service Confirms Tornado in Talbot County; Damage Assessments Underway

The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down Tuesday evening in the area near Trappe in Talbot County. The National Weather Service (Mount Holly, NJ) will conduct a storm survey on Wednesday to determine the tornado's Enhanced Fujita (EF) rating and assess the extent of the damage. Read more

On Sunday, July 26, 2026, at approximately 1:15 p.m., the Talbot County Sanitary District (Sanitary District) was notified of evidence of a sewer leak from the property owner at the above address.  The resident called the Sanitary District emergency line after noticing water ponding on the ground surface near his septic tank effluent pump (STEP) system.
